| Who is eligible ? |

| Home-owner occupiers: |
|
|
| » |
are the owner and occupier (primary place of residence) of the dwelling; and |
| » |
have permission from the other owner/s to apply; and |
| » |
obtain the approval of the body corporate, if applicable; and |
| » |
don't already have ceiling insulation or have ceiling insulation that is deemed as having negligible effectiveness (an R-value of 0.5 or less) |
| » |
are installing insulation in an existing home on or after 3 February 2009 and before 1 July 2009 (excludes new homes or extensions to existing homes); |
| » |
are an Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 18 years or over; |
| » |
have not been granted assistance under the solar hot water rebate program since the rebate was increased to $1,600 on 3 February 2009. |

| Landlords/Tenents. |
|
|
| » |
the landlord of the dwelling where the insulation was installed at the time the insulation was installed; OR |
| » |
the tenant of a dwelling with evidence of the landlord's permission (letter from landlord or landlord's agent) to install ceiling insulation in the property; and |
| » |
obtain the approval of the body corporate, if applicable; and |
| » |
be an Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 18 years or over; and |
| » |
be applying for reimbursement of the cost of purchasing and installing ceiling insulation installed between 3 February 2009 and the commencement of the program on 1 July 2009. |

| How the rebate works: |
| |
| Get two quotes from authorised installers. Select your installer of choice. |
| Have the insulation with the correct R-value installed. Send the 2 Quotes along with the paid invoice to the rebate scheme . Within 8 weeks the rebate will be deposited into your nominated bank account. |
